Had my carpal tunnel release surgery on my left hand yesterday (19/06/2013). I was briefed on several occasions on what to expect, as this was my first op I was a bit anxious and not sure what to expect especially as I would be fully conscious during the operation. All the staff were very helpful and friendly while I waited for the op. The operation was performed quick and totally pain free, even the local injection they did was barely noticeable. The doctor & their team kept me informed of what was going on the whole time. A day later it is still totally pain free and I worried for no reason at all! My experience as a whole was excellent, I can't recommend the doctor enough, I will be getting my other hand done when this one's fully healed.
