"My reception was awful"

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

This appointment was an independent referral. When I attended the reception I was soon met by a member of staff.

She was awful - I assume she had her personal opinion about my operation and she made it clear to me.

She soon went to the nurses desk to speak about me - I approached her and asked her what she was doing?

Then she rang my medical provider to talk about my procedure which really annoyed me. She never asked for my permission - again I followed her and asked her to stop! !

I am very sorry to hear how disappointed you were with the attitude of the member of staff you met at reception. We will make sure that we use your experience in our customer service training as a reminder of the standards of service we need to provide for our patients.
