"We will never forget your loving care!"

About: The Beacon

(as a relative),

I have nothing but praise for the staff an the facility at the Beacon Intermediate Care Home in Cleethorpes.

My mother stayed there for 5 1/2 weeks (for loss of mobility after fall), and I, her daughter, visited every day (for an average of 5/6 hours) for nearly 5 of those weeks.

All the staff treated my mother with the utmost respect and dignity, as they helped her to recover from a distressing medical condition. They explained everything to her, attended to her with loving care, making her feel secure and safe, with the result she was somewhat reluctant to leave!

Their genuine concern for her well being - both physically and emotionally, was evident in the amazing amount of attention she received.

As her daughter visiting from America, I was so grateful to be allowed to spend as much time as I wanted with Mum, and to feel included in the care and treatment she was receiving. The occupational therapist, Sarah, the nurse, Neil, and the social worker, Becky, were always willing to discuss my Mum's present and future care in a kind, understanding manner.

Many of the support workers and others who also gave encouragement and advice, as well as their friendship.

Our heartfelt thanks and gratitude is extended to all the staff at the Beacon. Selena, Brian, Shirley and Mike were especially wonderful with both my Mum and myself.

Thanks again to everyone there - we will never forget your loving care!
