"Midwife true asset to the hospital and their midwifery service"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I was booked in for an induction of labour in late May. As the labour took some time to commence, I was transferred to Ward 27.

In the early hours of the morning, my contractions became quite intense, and I was transferred to the labour ward.

The midwife who cared for me and delivered my son was a lady called Karen Rothera. She was very professional and reassuring. She gave me encouragement when I thought I couldn't go on any further. She is a true asset to TGH and their midwifery service.
