"Ill mannered and disinterested consultant "

I have ongoing severe neck and back problems. I previously underwent a procedure for cervical spinal fusion.

I have visited my neurologist at Derriford Hospital several times over the years, most recently 3 weeks ago. I find him very ill mannered and not interested in my point of view. He didn’t even examine me and just told me to go and see a foot doctor.

I had an MRI before I went to see him and he didn’t tell me about the results. My GP had referred me and it involves a 160 mile round trip and whole day to visit this consultant.

I find him very scathing about other health professionals. He told me that if my GP had written to him first, I wouldn’t even have been there. He tells me he thinks I have a bruised nerve. I don’t know how he knows this as he didn’t refer to my scan and he didn’t examine me.

I feel very frustrated and angry about not being listened to.
