"Nothing - there was nothing positive ..."

About: North Middlesex Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Nothing - there was nothing positive to say about the hospital. The whole experience just added to the already unplesantness of being ill making it harder to get better. It was an utterly desperate and devastating experience.

What could be improved

Communication between staff / wards/departments

I was held in A&E for several hours, and when the shifts changed I had to explain my condition to each and every new member of staff. When i was eventually addmitted to a ward they had no details.

Wrongly sent home and when I came back for a scan 7 hours later no one could locate my records, see info on the system.

Nursing staff did not seem to be interested in the well being of all the patients on the ward. Some night nurses used the phone for personal call for hours, spoke loudly this during the night and were abrupt when called for help. They were not attentive nor caring and put the nursing profession to shame.
