"I considered all the staff as friends"

About: Drug and alcohol services / Acer Unit, Bristol

(as the patient),

I went to the Acer ward in Bristol to detox from methadone addiction, I was apprehensive to begin with but as soon as I arrived I was put at ease.

The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. As the days passed not only was I on first name terms, I also considered all the staff as friends - food was good and always on time. Showers and toilets were clean.

And if you ever wanted one on one meetings with staff it was always immediate, never having to wait around.

All staff went above and beyond their calling and I will always be grateful for their time and help.

Warmest regards.
