"Pre wedding trauma"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

Anything else?

The afternoon of the day before our daughter's wedding my husband suddenly took ill with symptoms that could have indicated a heart attack or stroke. He was extremely dizzy, pale, clammy and vomiting. After trying unsuccessfully to get a doctor to the house I called an ambulance. I can't fault the paramedics or doctors and nurses at the Royal. He received immediate attention and was given a thorough 'MOT'. This was very reassuring, because, as you can imagine, we were worried that he mightn't be able to walk our daughter down the aisle the following day. After four hours of tests it was decided, thankfully, that he was suffering from either a virus or food poisoning. After an early night he was fit and able for the celebrations the next day. I would like to thank all concerned for the caring and professional way that they dealt with the situation.
