I suffer from Pulmonary Fibrosis and on Tuesday night 28th May was taken to the R.L.I. with, when diagnosed by A and E ,was Pneumonia. The efficiency and care given to me by, first The Paramedic, followed by the two female Ambulance Drivers was excellent and very re-assuring. Thank you! Thanks also to the Nurses and Doctor in A. and E.. I was then admitted to the Acute Medical Ward for four days. Again their professional care and kindness was fantastic. Thank you! Next, having been transferred to Ward 37 (Respiratory), for seven days, I was lovingly and patiently cared for by ALL their Staff. The quality of the food given to me throughout my entire stay was both delicious and varied. Last, but not least, a Commendation must be given to Charge Nurse. An incredible, professional man who exuded patience far beyond the call of duty. His caring manner and brilliant team management skills were exemplary. he made every patient feel they were the only one in his care and therefore, this must have aided their recovery. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Thank you! The only niggle is, that there could do with a bag in which to dispose of tissues etc. Thank you R.L.I. for ALL my care and attention and making my ten days so comfortable. Thanks also from my wife and family.
