Anything else?
I was referred to the Treatment Centre for a hernia repair. Arrived at 8.00 and was called through, with three other patients within a few minutes of arrival. Promptly allocated a waiting area and seen by a nurse, again within minutes. As soon as the nurse had completed her questions the anaesthetist arrived and went through her procedures. Quick change into a gown and the surgeon was there to examine, review and reassure. Briefest of waits and the theatre nurse was there to take me through to theatre. Some of the questions were duplicated but this was not a problem to me, just a sign that everyone was being thorough. Next thing I know I am being wheeled out of the recovery area and being offerred tea ans sandwiches. Five minutes short of five hours and I was able to text my wife to come and collect me. I have to say I found the whole process highly slick and professional, but with all of the staff, from the surgeon to the care assistant that brought the tea, finding time to chat, answer my questions and address my concerns. Well done, and thank you
