What I liked

Since 2005 i have been a patient under the care of the respiratory physicians at the chest clinic. I have also been an inpatient twice.

I would just to add something to the comments so far. The hospital and the care i have recieved so far.as an inpatient and as an outpatient has been excellent. With regards to hygiene i observed that the bays were cleaned very throughly and on a daily basis and beds were made each morning.

The care i recieved from the doctors, nurses and staff was excellent. A very friendly bunch of people. Very willing to stop and chat whenever possible, and this is probably the one thing i would take away from Ealing, that it is a very 'friendly' hospital indeed. I remember an incident in resucitation where i spent 6 hours on one occasion after been brought in to A&E, Almost every single person- doctor. nurse and member of staff who walked past me stopped and smiled. it costs nothing to smile and doesn't take a moment, and yet it can make such a difference!

The care i have recieved so far as outpatient has been very satisfactory. The chest clinic has a lovely team of receptionists who are always very nice and welcoming whenever i come for my regular appointments. I have a great specialist at the chest clinic and a great team of specialist nurses who couldn't have done more for me. I am extremely grateful.

I think amongst all the negative press and bad comments about Ealing it is very easy to forget the positive aspects but it is important to reinforce the fact that the staff at Ealing do a wonderful job most of time .
