Anything else?
I was sent to Darlington Memorial Hospital last week after I got a fish bone stuck in my throat and Durham A & E didn't have the facilities to deal with it. I wasn't waiting long before I was seen the staff nurse and their assistant was helping her. Well anyway they were so lovely and made me feel really calm even after 40 minutes of not being able to get the bone. They called the Consultant, who tried to get it too but they couldn't reach it so I was admitted. I had loads of questions asked, they were all really nice and explained things to me. I went down to Theatre at 11.00pm and at midnight woke up really hungry where a nice nurse bought me coffee and toast - much appreciated! It was the first time I had stayed in hospital and although I didn't get much sleep I was really pleased with the care, treatment and friendliness of staff there. Thank you :)
"Lovely staff and excellent care"
