I went for a routine eye exam in April this year as I thought the prescription for my reading glasses might need changing. On examination the optician advised my to go directly to Warrington District General as he thought I had a brain tumour. After seeing the Consultant Opthmalologist there, I had an MRI scan which showed a pituitry tumour. I was referred to Mr Javadpour , Consultant Neurologist who arranged for surgery. I was admitted on 5th June and had my operation on the 6th at the Walton Centre. The tumour was removed via my nostril, which whilst being unpleasant was a better than a cranial operation. The nursing staff and Mr javadpour were excellent. Everything was explained to me and the sheer professionalism of both Mr Javadpor and the nusing staff on Caton ward was excellent. The cleanliness of the hospital scored top marks and the hygiene standards were never compromised.
